Frequently Asked Questions

Coaching takes place on 30 minutes calls 2 or 3 times per month. The more coaching you have the faster you’ll go.  Most people are best served with started with 3 x 30-minute calls per month spaced out every 10 days.

The first coaching call with your new coach will be 60 minutes in length.

If you show up to the calls and take the actions that you and your coach agree on, you will have movement. You will move from where you are now to someplace better.

Most clients will see immediate impact in their lives in the first 30 days. As the coaching relationship strengthens and your capacity increases, your coach will be able to guide you to even higher places than you ever imagined. It’s really up to you, how fast do you want to grow?

Here’s a question for you? Are you doing everything you should be doing? Are you taking the action you want to take? If you’re not taking the action you want to take, it’s not procrastination or laziness. It’s simply that your current mindset (potential & capacity) is unable to take that action.  Your coach will help you connect with a higher level of energy, purpose & decision-making power that will pull you to your new targets in a manner you’ve never experienced before.

A sports coach helps athletes grow their thinking (mindset), mechanics & strategies in order to increase success in the game. A personal coach or business coach is similar but differs in that the game being played (life or business) is unique to the individual. Whereas in baseball for example, mechanics & how to play are standard across the entire sport. At the end of the day, they both make you better.

Results in coaching are 80% client & 20% coach. At the end of the day you must take the action, your coach is only a guide. You must walk the path padawan.

As you are aware, there are no standardized rules in life on how to effectively manage your life, your body, your relationships, your family, your finances or your business. It’s a combination of factors that create success and are often unique to you.  What creates success for one person doesn’t always work for another.

What usually happens is that during coaching, initial goals are achieved and then new bigger goals are created, then the process repeats itself. Your best bet is to make a decision to grow and go after what you want and find the resources you need to make it a reality.

Remember, success is 80% (capacity & potential) mindset. The remaining 20% is strategy. The coach’s primary purpose is to help you generate the answer yourself. This is why Jason Drees Team coaches can coach anyone, anywhere, any time.

Mentors expertise is strategy. They give you strategies, but they often can be such a high-level strategy that you’re unable to execute it.

Coaches expertise is mindset (capacity & potential) in helping you create higher level strategies and consistently execute higher level strategies. Coaches often act as mentors as well, typically by modeling the potential for growth and change.

The justifications of your past failures become the limitations of your future.

In the past you’ve focused on achieving goals. When we don’t achieve a goal, your brain creates a reason or excuse why you didn’t accomplish it.

For example, you really wanted to win that award 10 years ago and you didn’t. When you looked at the winners of the award, they were all wearing blue shoes. This created a story or pattern in your brain via your reticular activating system (the reason why you start noticing the same model of car after you buy one).

So, the next time you focus on a new award and you notice that all the past winners had blue shoes, you will subconsciously feel a hit to the gut and drop in energy because your subconscious mind knows that you must have blue shoes to hit the target and your all your shoes are brown. Have you ever experienced this?

I’ve got a question for you, how long have you not been able to afford it for? Would you like to be able to afford it? Because believe it or not, your current financial situation is the result of the strategies of your previous mindset (capacity & potential). If you want to change your financial situation and move into a life of true wealth, it must start in the mind first.

Les Brown once said “The easiest thing I’ve ever done is make $1 million dollars. The hardest thing I’ve ever done was believing I could.”

What if the pure act of finding a way to afford coaching is the catalyst that changes everything?

  • Get as clear as you can on what you want to accomplish
  • Make a decision to hit the target no matter what
  • Show up and be open to learning and expanding
  • Embrace honesty with yourself, it’s the key to success in coaching

During the onboarding process you will complete a DISC personality strengths assessment, an intake questionnaire and a 60 point diagnostic. This information will be reviewed with your coach during the first coaching call which will be 60 – 90 minutes in length.
